Why hello dolly divas, Its been awhile. Every ones so busy with life. I've noticed many changes to Stardoll. Some pleasant, others not so much. I've always tried to be original and not go with whats trending. Some trends can be epic fails while others are borderline fashion genius.
As you all know, Stardoll has given us the option to create our own jewelry (which is beyond awesome, might I add) Lets take a look at a couple of the most recent trends that stemmed from this new feature. The trends that simply wont quit.
One trend I've been seeing a lot of is -dum dum doooom- you guessed it. WIGS.
Good wigs. Bad wigs. Wigs that don't even look like wigs. Fabulous Headdresses and more.

Another creation that has been spreading like wild fire is the closed eyes, eyeshadow effect.
Similar to the wigs, this look is also created using various feathers. I personally think it makes the dolls look scary. Are they sleep or are they dead? Totally creepy. There are plenty of eyeshadow choices on Stardoll. This is pushing the envelope, and pointless in my opinion...
Pictured here is Skyblu247, sporting a horribly made side bun and standard closed eyes. I'd have to say that this overall look is a NOT. The only thing hot about it is the fact that its a hot mess. Stay away from hastily made wigs. All of them do not make your doll pretty.
One doll that caught my eye was Papayca. Shes wearing the closed eyes but manages to pull it off nicely. Her fairy tale look is nothing short of enchanting.

I'm not sure if that's a feather wig or a dirty mop on Serenita7's head. Either way, I'll have to say that this look is a definite

I spotted Gladisk while surfing Stardoll and immediately decided to take a closer look. I adore this particular wig. It looks so carefree and doesn't seem too hard to recreate.

Next up is Sakutaro. Stardolls princess of Harajuku/lolita. I love this style. She really knows how to capture the essense of kawaii. Cute.

PrincessNelli's Outlandish style immediately piqued my interest. I'm still not sure if its hot or not. Although, I can certainly say that its creative and elegant.
Check out elite-Girl. This wig is pure fabulous. I can see that more than just feathers was used to create this 1940s pin up style. It's also very neat and well made. Kudos to whoever created this wig.
Looks just like the real thing. HOT!
I even took the time to create my own little wig creation. It's actually just some bangs I made to match the curly bun. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I wish it looked more like real hair and blended in. Stardoll needs to just go ahead and give us a new feature "Design your own wig". Complete with hair strands and different pieces we could mix and match. Good idea? lol. no?

Sorry it isnt catty enough for you. lol I have been there done that. I didnt just start writing on Stardoll blogs. Check my resume'. The gossip....It gets old.

@isabel...Yes I have tried and given up lol. I love elite-girls wig. Its an acquired taste though. Very old style.
@Ebony.. I forgot to say,.. yes that dress is a classic. Halloween couture 2009 or 10? The shaggy dress. I sold mines for 500 when I needed money really bad but I still have the rest of the entire collection.

Oh and ya Gia, it was from the 09 Halloween couture collection. I also like the spike trimmed peplum jacket. Stardoll used to have the BEST clothes, everything looks so cheap and rushed now -_-
The first few wigs made with the introduction of SD jewellery were bad but now I see few nice ones. The only way stardoll can stop this is by removing those feathers or ptoviding much prettier wigs & hair peices in starplaza. There has to be a way to stop this, get rid of the feathers or provide a prettier alternative to shame those wigs.
I have to commend the tactful way the writer of this post answered other commenters (even the negative ones). That shows maturity.

I don't know her exact name but t-louise is really great at making wigs. Especially side buns, they're a bit to pricey for me though.
I actually just wished stardoll made new hairstyles again. Move the current SS ones to non-ss and create NEW and IMPROVED SS ones. The hairstyles get so boring...

@Ebony. lol I was like OH A ROCK THOUGH? haha. And yes. the new clothes are a mess. Some of it is nice but very few. You can tell they have different artists that draw the clothes. Some waaaaay better than others.

@Vitalstatistick. I agree. But you know how us girls get bored with the available styles. I suggest a wig maker. Somehow. With different pieces of hair. Stardoll has got to come up with a way. lol.
