I can't say I haven't noticed the waves of animosity going to PSG, MDM, and BFM. But as I am strictly positive, I prefer to ignore the haters. Unfortunately, I saw something today that really popped my rose scented, pink bubble.
This poll is from the latest anonymous blog, The Stardoll Bomb. As you can see, MDM is the least favourite, with BFM following and PSG holding 28%. I really can't describe my feelings towards this, because I am partly sad about the downward spiral of the big three blogs, and the other brutally honest part of me expected this.
How long can a blog hold precedence over everyone else? How long can a blog call themselves the best? As the Antagonist is proof of, a blog's power can be taken away as easily as it came. The Antagonist stole 100 readers from PSG, and continue to do so every day. I won't deny that PSG has had some questionable writers who have thought that just because they have been accepted to one of the biggest blogs in Stardoll means that they can tell everyone else what to do.
Jack left this grammatically incorrect but true comment on my post about the Stardollian Gala.
Jack says that only people who are truly elite in the sense that they earned it and worked hard to be famous and a household name should be mentioned. In a way, I agree with him. You can't just ask for fame. Look at the Kardashians. Lindsay Lohan. Britney Spears. All these girls have never done a day's honest work, and rely on cunning and their bodies to pay for the rent. In the same way, people who think they can claim fame by putting their name out there are not actually earning it.
PSG, MDM and BFM have all had their heyday, and something tells me that its soon going to leave. A new generation of big blogs are coming, and The Antagonist has led the way. The true elites, the ones who worked their butts off trying to make graphics, blogs and posts worthy of the hungry audience are slowly disappearing. As much as I hate to say it, I realise that as long as there is something to read, with a degree of scandal and scorn, the people want it. The Antagonist offers this, with excellent grammar as well. Its time to pull the curtains down and face the fact that is right in front of our noses.
This year is the marker for a milestone of new bloggers, new talents and new scandals. Why not embrace the coming change? I know I will.
